Over the past month or so, the Aspire team has enjoyed two or three outings out to health and fitness trade shows and events across a number of location in London.
Be:FIT, Balance and Elevate all offer a number of different things to consumers and people working within the industry, so we decided to really think about the pros and cons to each.
As you may well expect, they all cater for different audiences and specialise in certain areas. So, before you book your ticket for next year, take a look at our thoughts below.

Be:FIT London

Why go?
This is a great place for quirky brands, with a lot of the stands being nutrition or food focused. If you’re looking for a female-friendly event for exercise and fitness inspiration, this is the place to go.
Is it for you?
Be:FIT is a UK health and fitness festival for women, so it really is all in the description. The event features talks, classes, product stands and much more so suits a number of people across a varied age range.
Any problems?
The space is fairly well filled, but it could do with being a bit busier on the top level. A centre stage, with regular announcements and scheduling, away from the interview area could help a little bit too.
Best part?
It’s great for female groups of friends and colleagues, so shines as a place for networking and exploring health and fitness trends.

Balance Festival

Why go?
The branding and general focus of this event is brilliant, and the buzz building up to it was really well generated across London. Current, stylish and really nicely packaged.
Is it for you?
Ideal for Friday press and industry related workers, as well as Saturday and Sunday consumers. It offers a variety of exercise and health specific content, as well as industry-known names.
Any problems?
It’s very expensive, so might exclude some consumers. Unless you go to network, hear a certain speaker or take part in a class or session, the price is enough to make you look past the positive offerings.
Best part?
There really is so much to get involved in, with a great variety of classes and demonstrations. Whether you work in the industry, or take an interest in it, there is a lot to soak up.

Elevate

Why go?
A great place to arrange meetings and check out new kit. Sometimes it can be difficult to really identify anything new or eye-catching, but that isn’t the case here.
Is it for you?
The B2B health and fitness industry; it’s a trade exhibition that delivers when it comes to new and interesting content through seminars, presentations and stands.
Any problems?
The big stands are impressive, but the brands in the smaller stands get a bit lost. As mentioned, it really is a good event for finding new products and brands but those with less of a presence may not do as well from it.
Best part?
The seminar theatre is packed with interesting content and expert opinion leaders, which makes it a great place to really learn and engage with those offering their thoughts and advice on a variety of topics.
